Slovenian Economy Gets $797 Million Loans to Weather Downturn (Bloomberg)
Dec. 31 (Bloomberg) — Slovenian banks, including the country’s largest Nova Ljubljanska Banka d.d., have approved 553 million-euro ($797 million) of loans since June to help companies weather the worst economic downturn since the fall of communism.

Flight 253 passengers get vouchers (The Monterey County Herald)
ATLANTA (AP) — Delta Air Lines Inc. is offering travel credits to passengers on the Amsterstam-to-Detroit flight that a suspected terrorist tried and failed to blow up on Christmas. Spokeswoman Susan Elliott said Wednesday the world’s biggest carrier is notifying passengers about the vouchers.
