No loans on land over NT$6 million per ping (Chinapost.com.tw)
TAIPEI, Taiwan –The state-run Land Bank of Taiwan, the nation’s leading lender of housing and land loans, won’t extend any loans to finance construction of lots bearing an exorbitant price of NT$6-7 million per ping (one ping = 36 square feet), which is beyond the bank’s risk-control scope, a top bank executive said yesterday.
