Small-business loan plan touted
WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama laid out a $30-billion plan on Friday to boost small-business lending that draws in large part from Michigan lawmakers’ proposals. Small manufacturers have complained for months that despite a bounce-back from the recession, credit for expansion has been hard to come by, especially for firms with auto industry ties.
